The desert of Namibia went even further in South Africa. But there was the big difference that many flowers began after a rain to sprout everywhere and the otherwise barren hills transformed into a colorful carpet of flowers.
The cities of northern Caps came to me more like clusters of houses as real cities. But at least there was eerything to eat and the supermarcets were full. Many farmers invited me, or rather I invited me at their farms. So I learned a lot about their concerns and needs and mostly also got a warm shower and a soft bed.
The landscape is somewhat similar to Ireland. The hills are green and woolly sheep grazing on the grass. But many vineyards and date palms shifted the image quickly. Most wine is exported to China.
South Africans love to barbecue or brai like they do say. A day without meat is a tough day for a real South African. Vegetables is not appreciated. Chicken is jokingly referred as a vegetable. Hey barbecue just like in Namibia over an open fire.
On the coast it was just like in Namibia foggy and cold. The swim in the sea was thus very refreshing. Unfortunately, I did not see the penguins living there. But at least I spotted some sea lions.
In recent days, the wind increased constantly in strength and made driving more and more difficult. Today I crawled with only 6kmh along the street. The windspeed was up to 100kmh.
Now it goes to a music festival and then it goes all the way to the Cape.
